Tonight was seriously what I needed. I saw Cancer Bats in Philly and completely let myself go during their set. Liam gave me the mic every song and I can’t even describe how it felt.

After the show, I went up to Liam and thanked him for everything. Here’s how the conversation went.

Liam: “You! You were awesome. Please tell me you’re in a band.”
Me: “No, I wish!”
Liam: “No way. You’re good.”
Me: “Ohh man, well thanks. I’m not great.”
Liam: “No, really. I mean, I love handing the mic to girls because they’re usually ignored and plus guys just do super brutal ‘bleh bleh bleh’ stuff, but seriously, your voice is very powerful and really good.”
Me: (Internally freaking out) “Oh wow, well I appreciate that…”
Liam: “You should really start a band.”
Me: “I want to start an old school screamo band, like Orchid….”

And the rest was pretty much him asking why I haven’t and me explaining how much of a chickenshit I am. Regardless, hearing that from someone I highly admire and also have their words tattooed on me is a huge deal. I’m still reeling from it.

Also, any east coast fans, they’re planning on doing a small headlining tour here in the fall. I can’t wait.
